I was obsessed with all the layers within this story, but especially with the suspense and building romance. I found myself always a little bit on the edge of my seat wondering about Trace’s and Ellie’s pasts and wondering how it was going to impact their present.

AND the foster animals!? Absolutely melt my heart!!

AND…All hail Lolli, the queen of one liners!🤣

With the suspense, Trace became so protective and needing to be there for Ellie, so of course with a bit of forced proximity, the steam started coming off of the pages. I literally could not put this book down just from the budding romance alone. Plus, Ellie’s wit and sarcasm paired with my love for any single dad like Trace had me swooning.
